Special Toyota Celica VI ST202

Hello fellow members.

My name is Christian, and I'm half polish/Norwegian, live in Norway.
I speak and can read polish, but can not write quite well, so I hope you understand English
I'm a big fan of JDM cars, and especially the Celica. I bought my first Cely in 2008, and until now everything has been changed on it to make it look, and perform better.
So I wanted to share pictures and information with you guys (and girls?) since I got a feeling there is many fans of Celica in this forum.

The car was originally a 1.8L model, but because of big oil consumption I rebuild the car to a ST202 with the more reliable 3S-GE JDM engine. The rebuild includes brakes and all the suspension from ST202. Also I did not have electric windows nor central locking, so the doors have been also swapped from a JDM donor car with all the electric parts.

The paint job and the body tuning is performed/customized by:

- Celica 2.0GT ST202 -
- JDM Engine 180HP 3S-GE -

- New painted in a special and rare metallic color, “Blue steel” Subaru.

- JDM Invidia/Honda 2.5" catback, decat and 4.5" exhaust pipe (special sound)

- TRD Sideskirts, rear and front bumper customized professionally and build in the body

- TEIN lowering springs, 30mm (?)

- JDM facelift headlights, 4300K xenon

- JDM rear taillights

- 17" Falken tires with black rims and red rings

- Tinted windows

- Aftermarket side markers in black

- Carbon hood with air intake (EVO style) + TRD spoiler with carbon wing (Supra style)

- Custom Real leather interior – with seat heaters

- Genuine TRD shift gear knob

- White Indiglo gauges + red scales, red led bulbs – BY MOMAN

very nice car... well, there's one thing I actually don't like - the hood, it kinda looks like Lancer Evo ripoff :/ the rear is incredible though! the most important thing is you're happy with it as it is

Thanks for commenting. Glad you like it, I have been told both good and bad opinions about the hood from others, but I think I will keep it since I like it myself
I see the site does not work atm, not sure why, but I think it will be up running again in some days.

I also hope I can attend a meeting in Wroclaw in the future

btw I just noticed - the leather on the shifter isn't so nicely done as the rest :/ you should get it done as fast as you can, ruins the good looking rest of the interior

and the color looks even better than on those Subarus!

I know about that, I have ordered new leather gear shifter, so I will take new pictures when it's installed and when cleaned the interior
The color on the car is much nicer in real life, especially in the sun. When it's dark the color looks like special blue color, and when it's sun shining it transform to beautiful silver color

Hi Iceman nice Celi but hood necessitate to change. It looks be better without inlet.
Overall good job and pure JDM style. What about engine will you tune them ? Did you estimated Celi on Dyno ?

I consider buying a cold air filter kit from K&N, but not sure if it's worth it. I don't think I will tune the engine more than that, because it's difficult without turbo.

Anyway, I'm slowly working on a MR2 beside the Celica. It got The 3sgte engine that already have 220HP, and I can easy get 300 out of it. So If I wanna go really fast I will use the MR2 instead, and Celica for regular driving to work etc..

Thanks for the comments, both positive and some negative about the hood.
Always good to have different opinions.
I have added almost 20 new pictures in the first post, taken by OUT OF FOCUS (can be found on facebook). They also got more pictures there from norwegian JDM cars.
